Becket Washington Community Partnership (BWCP) News – March 2024

Becket Arts Center – Masquerade Ball, Music, Storytelling & More
The deadline to submit your coffee bag creation for a chance to win $100 is March 24. Creations will be on display in March and auctioned/raffled off at a Masquerade Ball on March 29 (snow date March 30) ($25 per person/$20 for BAC members). Come to our mask-making workshop on March 9 and make something for the ball. We also have storytelling (theme: Your Biggest Fear) on March 15, and a concert and songwriting workshop with local favorite Johnny Irion on March 23. Plus, yoga and Nia continue on Thursdays and Fridays respectively. Visit becketartscenter.org/events for a complete schedule.

Virtual Programs for Adults & Storytime for Kids at the Athenaeum
We are partnering again with Tewskbury Public Library to bring our community a wide variety of programs on Zoom throughout March. There is something for everyone: job hunters, history buffs, nature enthusiasts and more. Visit BecketAthenaeum.org/events to learn more and register.

Every Saturday at 10:30am, kids and their adults are invited to join us to hear a story and make a craft. On the second Saturday of the month, Laurel Lenski leads everyone in creative movement after the story (instead of a craft) and on March 9, we will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
