On a beautiful late summer day our Parks and Recreation Committee, with the assistance of more than a dozen volunteers, facilitated the first Fall Family Fun Festival. Admission was free, thanks to the generous donations of sponsors as well as individual residents. The festival had more than 20 vendors selling their gently used treasures, a mini farmers market, seven musical groups providing wonderful entertainment into the evening, a variety of activities for young and old, and food and beverages provided by Papa Bob’s and the Becket Country Store.
There were more than 250 attendees at the event, several of whom expressed hope that it would become an annual event. The Parks and Recreation Committee welcomes your suggestions at parksandrec@townofbecket.org
