The Berkshires are full of amazing experiences—plays, concerts, art and science exhibits, live performances, and museums. School field trips bring these opportunities to life for our kids, making learning fun and engaging. But every adventure comes with a cost. The good news is… We have money! The Becket Cultural Council works to make cultural activities free and accessible to all by reimbursing artists for their program expenses. And it’s all done locally. The events we fund take place right here in Becket. So, artists of all types, take note! The application process for both town and state grants is OPEN.
We review and accept requests for town grants on a rolling basis. Just fill out the “Town Funds Application” form found via the navigation section along the left side of the main page of the Council’s website, townofbecket.org/becket-cultural-council. Town-sponsored activities can begin anytime but must be completed by June 10, 2026.
Requests for state grants must be placed online through the state’s website: massculturalcouncil.smartsimple.com. There is also a link to the main page of the Mass Cultural Council site on the Becket Cultural Council website’s main page (linked above). But you need to act quickly! The state application process ends on October 16, approved events taking place during calendar year 2026.
