Becket Arts Center—Storytelling, Music, Exhibits & More

Art openings—always free and open to the public—for “Creature” and “Receptive” grace our galleries on September 5 and 19, respectively. Senator Paul Mark addresses “The Importance of Art to Community Building” as part of our Speaker Series on September 11. Music Brings Communities Together continues September 13 with the soul/rock/jazz of Sample the Cat.
Plus, join the Becket Stories Project on September 25 for an evening of storytelling and coaching. Come hear about the people, places, and things that make Becket special. This free event is open to listeners and storytellers.
Ongoing weekly offerings include Yoga with Rima Sala on Thursdays at 9:30 am (except for September18). And you can always find the latest events online at BecketArtsCenter.org/events.
September is for Saving Seeds and Signing Up for Your Library Card!

As September unfolds, and we savor the still sunny, warm days and the garden’s bounty, come join Master Gardener Ken Conway for a hands-on, seed-saving presentation at the library on September 6 at 4pm. Learn how to save and store your garden’s seeds to replant year after year.
September is also Library Card Sign-Up Month! It may be small, but a library card packs a mighty punch. Borrow museum passes, musical instruments, puzzles, and more. It’s one card with endless possibilities! Register in person or online today.
Lastly, we are seeking feedback and suggestions to help guide our fall and early-winter programming, and we’d love to hear from you! Please help us out by filling out this survey: bwlibrary.org/fall. We’d especially love to hear from tweens, teens, young adults, and/or the adults in their lives.
