We can’t believe it is 2024 and we are going into our 3rd calendar year with the Becket Beat. The BB team held our annual retreat on January 6th to review how far we came with our goals for 2023, and to establish goals for 2024. Of note for the community, we want to share that we plan to hold in-person gatherings with Becket residents to get feedback on what you would like to see in the paper going forward. We also decided to print obituaries, free of charge, to Becket residents. We are working on some additional changes to be announced after we work out the details. In summary, it is our sincere hope to be your trusted source of news in Becket and to continually strive to be a quality publication that accurately represents the unique culture and character of Becket.
We also would like to acknowledge the contribution made by our Wahconah Regional High School Student Intern, Paetyn Tatro, whose column “Students Hit the Winter Trails” was published in our December 2023 issue. Look for more from our Student Intern Program going forward!
