I first noticed it in early June. Mis-colored, crinkly leaves on the beech trees encircling our backyard. When I started noticing the same odd-colored leaves on trees throughout Becket, I knew I had to look it up. Sure enough. It’s a thing. A really bad thing.
Community Day a Success
unfortunately, the ground was bare of snow, but the Becket Beat/Canterbury Farm Community Day on March 9th was a huge success. Instead of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, guided hikes were offered at 11am and 1pm by Dave Bacon, who shared his knowledge of the trails and trees.
