The Common Loon, recognized for its distinctive appearance and call, is returning to Massachusetts with increasing numbers of breeding pairs. Conservation efforts are vital to protect them from predators and environmental threats.
Becket Stories is a public art project being developed at the Becket Arts Center that will create an interactive story archive in Becket. The project will use stories, songs, and artifacts (objects, photos, documents) to capture the experience of living, working, and visiting Becket—past and present. The project started collecting stories in fall of 2025
