Becket Arts Center—Celebrating 2024 & Looking Ahead to 2025

Thank you for a tremendous 2024; we could not have done it without you. If you would like to make a year-end donation to further support the BAC, we would greatly appreciate it. Just visit BecketArtsCenter.org/donate.

In December we get into the holiday spirit with a Hannukah celebration on the 15th, Truman Capote’s “The Thanksgiving Visitor” and “A Christmas Memory” on the 20th and a Holiday Sing-A-Long on the 21st. In January we welcome Kilishandra for a live show recording on the 11th, say “yes, and” to Intro to Improv on the 14th, 21st, and 28th, and welcome Sean McCusker on the 25th for a Call for Art Workshop.

It’s Giving Season at the Athenaeum and Explore Nature Journaling This Winter

Everyone loves a hand-made gift! Visit our gift-making table throughout the month of December for fun projects to craft and give this holiday season. We provide all of the supplies at no cost to you. Make sugar and salt scrubs, junk journals, bookmarks, and more. In the new year, join Lara Tupper for two nature journaling workshops, on January 26 and March 30, at 11am. Keep an eye on our website to register for one or both.

And, finally, help us continue to provide the robust services and materials that you and your neighbors value so highly. A healthy library consistently responds to, and even anticipates, the evolving needs of the community. In order to grow with our patrons—we need your support! The funds we receive from Becket and Washington cover about half of our annual operating budget. We invite you to join our loyal group of donors—those community members whom we rely on to bridge our funding gap. Expect our mailing this month or donate online anytime: bit.ly/BA-donate.
